The Last of October, the First of November

What a difference a day makes.

I came home from campus Friday, grabbed my camera and took some quick pics to try and capture the color before it disappears.

It was a good thing I took the pictures while I could, because Saturday morning we woke up to our first snow of the season!

It won't last long.  We will get some more snow tomorrow (Sunday), but by the time this post hits the web most of it will have faded away.  The leaves will have fallen with the weight of the snow and the bright colors of autumn will be gone with the last of the snowflakes.

Beautiful while its here though, isn't it?  I'm going to go fix a nice cup of cocoa and enjoy the fire for a little longer...

  1. I can't believe how early y'all got snow up there!!!! I would die......I'm not a cold weather/snow person...I'm actually surprised I survived for 2 years in Massachusetts.

  2. Ooh it's so pretty! We got a dusting but it didn't stick. We're all excited right now (talk to us in February!).
